Nha Trang is a coastal city and a center of politics, economy, culture, science and technology and tourism in the province of Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. Before becoming the land of Vietnam, Nha Trang belongs Champa. The ruins of the Cham remains in parts of Nha Trang.
Nha Trang Overview
Nha Trang is one of the most large and famous tourist cities of Vietnam, converging many famous sightseeing places and landmarks. Located in the heart of Khanh Hoa Province, Nha Trang is an area of ​​251 square kilometers, with over 19 islands, of which Hon Tre is the largest island with an area of ​​36km2 lying off the coast that makes Nha Trang bay become windless and calm waves. Nha Trang History
The name of Khanh Hoa was established in 1832 – the 13th year of King Minh Mang’s reign. The land consisted of two countries and districts. Dien Khanh country then included the two districts of Phuoc Dien and Vinh Xuong; and Ninh Hoa Country comprised the two districts of Quang Phuoc and Tan Dinh.

During the Nguyen dynasty, under the French colonialist rule, the central seat of the province was at Dien Khanh. By early 1945, Nha Trang Town (now Nha Trang City) became the administrative seat of the province until the present day.

Road
The National Highway 1A and the railway from north to south run through Khanh Hoa Province, linking it with the other provinces in the North and South. The National Highway 26 links Khanh Hoa to some provinces in the Central Highland.
 
Airlines
Nha Trang Airport is 5km far from the center of the city. Vietnam Airlines offers daily connections with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and four connections a week with Da Nang. Cam Ranh Airport is 35km south of Nha Trang has flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang to there.
 
Train
Regular connections between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City all stop in Nha Trang; there is a daily train between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.

1. Po Nagar Cham Towers
Po Nagar Cham Towers situated on Cu Lao marble hill, 2km north of Nha Trang, in Khanh Hoa Province were built between the 8th and 13th centuries. The largest of the four remaining towers was built in honor of the Goddess Po Nagar, also known as Lady Thien Y Ana or Lady Mother of the Kingdom. 
 
The towers are not only famous for their architecture and sculpture, but also their great significance in history, nationalism, and archaeology.

2. Hon Chong (Chong Rocks)
Hon Chong is located 3.5km from the center of Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. It consists of massive rocks lying on top of one another. 
Hon Chong is divided into two parts. One part is situated offshore and the other is in the sand dunes at the Cu Lao Fishing Hamlet. The offshore cluster includes layer after layer of massive rock emerging from the sea. These layers of rocks act as natural wave breakers.
 
3. Hong Mun Island & Hon Tam Island
Hon Mun Island is situated on the south of Nha Trang Bay, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

Named Hon Mun because, in the southeast of the island, it has high-rise cliffs with dangerous wattles forming caves and grottoes, especially its stones are as black as ebony, which could rarely be found in other areas. 
In the black-stone caves of Hon Mun, every year flocks of swallow migrate to the area and build their nests. Due to the island's location adjacent to the hot sea-currents from the equator, suitable to the development conditions of corals and various types of tropical sea creatures, the seabed of Hon Mun is home to an abundant and diverse group of marine species, an interesting and useful place for researchers, oceanographers and tourists to observe and explore more of the sea creatures' life.


Hon Tam Island - The island has an area of ​​110 ha, 7 km south-east of Nha Trang. Hon Tam can see both Nha Trang city in the north and Cam Ranh peninsula in the south. In addition to the beautiful beach, this place is also famous for sea exploration by glass bottom boat as well as snorkeling service coral reef


4. Long Son Pagoda
Long Son Pagoda, also known as the White Buddha Pagoda, was formerly known as Dang Long Temple, located at the foot of Trai Thuy Hill. At the top of the hill is the statue of Buddha sitting Buddha sermon, statue 21 meters high, the lotus 7 meters high, and easy to see a large area around the pagoda.
